| What GRC says: 2011-12: Parkes never was able to get going offensively this season and may have been better served with more playing time in Toledo to get his confidence up. He was effective in spurts on an energy line, keeping the puck deep and working the cycle, but never really cemented a spot in the lineup. An injury shut down his season early and it is hoped he will have more of an impact next season with a year of experience under his belt. Fall 2011: Parkes is a nice combination of grit and skill who could develop into a two-way NHL winger. He seems to have that knack of always being in the right place at the right time for the puck.He gives 110% every shift and should be a bright spot in GR if he turns pro this fall. |
