Thinks game well... A great puck mover and has the ability to quarterback the powerplay... Will jump into the play... Strong positioning... Steady... Minus: Small in stature... No physical game... Organizational Comments: What GRC says: 2007-08: This season's feel good story, Galvin earned a two-year contract with his strong, steady defensive play in the first half. His second half fell off a little, but he still led the team's blueliners with a plus 10 defensive rating. A smaller stay at home defenseman, Galvin is positionally sound and makes a good first pass out of the zone. 2006-07: Perhaps the surprise of the first half, Galvin quieted down in the second and found himself fighting for playing time. A solid, mobile blueliner, Tom made the playoff roster, but was too far down the depth chart to get into a game. Fall 2006: A teammate of Brett Lebda's at Notre Dame, Galvin turned a strong camp into an opportunity to play at the AHL level. A small, speedy offensive defenseman, He should get a chance to show he belongs; much like Nick Martens last season.
