Willing to play a physical game and has the tools to be a punishing hitter... Decent skill level for a checker... Competitive player will battle along the boards... Minus: Inconsistent... While the skill is obvious, it has not translated into offense... Does not bring physical game all the time... Seems to have a hard time finding his role... Detroit gave him one more look at camp this year, and after being cut ended up in GR's camp. An aggressive skater with good size and speed, Oslund's game has never equaled the sum of his parts. If he can find his game in the pro ranks, he could see some time in Grand Rapids, but will likely ply his trade this season in Toledo (ECHL).
