Plus: Great work ethic... Will drop the gloves... Big hitter... Willing shot blocker... Team leader... |
Minus: Not a lot of natural skill... Defensive game is only adequate... Penchant for bad penalties... |
Organizational Comments: Griffins GM Bob McNamara: "Greg is a tough kid, and his game has developed and improved. He's a guy that's willing to do anything to win a game. I've seen him use his face to block pucks." |
What GRC says: 2010-11: The heart and soul of this team, Ammo provided leadership and maximum effort every time he stepped on the ice. He has a host of weaknesses, but somehow manages to play better than the sum of his parts would indicate. This warrior on the blueline stepped up his play in the second half to join Jamie Tardif as the most consistent Griffins. He was rewarded with a contract extension and should be patrolling the backend for a couple more seasons. Fall 2010: A physical, stay at home defender, "Ammo" should provide a veteran presence on the blueline. Amadio is a willing middleweight who will protect his teammates and brings leadership to the room. |
Role: Defensive defenseman |
Projection: AHL blueliner |
