The griffins' nemesis the Milwaukee Admirals kept up their road dominance in dispatching the Griffins with extreme prejudice in the not so cozy confines of Van Andel arena. Linus Klasen put on a highlight reel performance striking for a pair of goals and an assist for Milwaukee. Brent Raedeke and Tomas Tatar scored for Grand Rapids in the loss. Jordan Pearce was roughed up for five goals, before yielding to Thomas McCollum, but was left out to dry by his defense several times.

Milwaukee got on the board early with a powerplay goal. Blum came in from the line and let a shot go that Santorelli got a piece of and put it behind Pearce. Big hit by Straub, smoked an ads defenseman. Klasen got the puck in front and blew it past the Griffins netminder, low glove side. Shots on Goal: GR 7 - Mil 15.

Great work by Tatar shorthanded after losing his stick. Klasen teed up another shot from the slot that just found it's way in under the crossbar. Tatar was in on a two-on-one, took the pass and somehow missed the open net. Raedeke in traffic snuck the puck past Smith from the side of the net to get GR on the board. They credited the goal to Straub who was one of the bodies in front. Keefe and Ford dropped the gloves and squared off at center ice in a long bout. A defensive breakdown in front left the ads wide open again for a quick snap shot by Bourque that got by Pearce. Great chance by Tatar who hit the post. Owens very feisty, clearing out the front of the net and scrumming after the whistle. Smith coughed up the puck to Owens on the doorstep, but he fired it wide. Another Ads goal by Bourque to make it 5-0. Pearce not getting much help. Shots on Goal: GR 11 - Mil 15.

McCollum came in to start the third period. Geoffrion at the line sent a weak shot on net that somehow eluded McCollum. No shot on goal given to Milwaukee, meaning McCollum gave up a goal on no shots. Tatar flipped the puck in over Smith on a 5-on-3 powerplay to cut the lead to four with four minutes left on the clock. Shots on goal: GR 9 - Mil 6. For the Game: GR 27 - Mil 36.

Observations:

Not a lot to say, Milwaukee wiped the floor with us. I give them a lot of credit, but we didn't play well defensively. We also didn't play with much passion or desperation. This is getting old.
