What GRC says: Fall 2026 Bertuzzi enters training camp as specialized organizational depth. Because he signed an AHL-specific contract directly with Grand Rapids, he is not on an NHL contract and is ineligible for quick call-ups to Detroit. He projects as a bubble depth forward who will battle to stick permanently in the Griffins' bottom six. If the AHL roster gets too crowded, he will likely serve as a premier top-line scoring weapon for Detroit's ECHL affiliate, the Toledo Walleye.
