| Of the Wings twenty-two-man tournament roster, 12 were amateur tryouts, and the remaining 10 were Detroit draft picks. Slick center Jason Williams, an undrafted free agent, earned a contract in training camp, and made his NHL debut later that season. Rugged Tim Verbeek the younger brother of the newly signed Pat Verbeek also earned a three year deal. |
