| The Wings started camp with 64 players on the ice. The big news at the rink was the summer trade of Adam Oates and Paul MacLean for hall of famer Bernie Federko and winger Tony McKegney. Other prominent new faces were free agents Marc Habschied and Borje Salming, signed over the offseason from Minnesota and Toronto. Rookie Sheldon Kennedy had a great camp and was the last cut to start the season. |
